One on one therapy is rooted in an age old practice of two people coming together for the benefit of one, but where both are potentially transformed.
Individual therapy is a process of building trust and safety, learning to access and express what hurts, grow through what needs outgrowing, take risks, make changes, and heal.
Sessions are 50-55 minutes in length and usually conducted once or twice weekly to start, continuing for a long as you feel you are benefiting.
Psychotherapy is, at the core, a relational process. Sessions build on one another, unfolding into a rhythm conducive to understanding, self-discovery and personal empowerment. What transpires between therapist and the individual is unique to the two people involved. Therefore, no two experiences are the same. And like most anything in life, we tend to get from it what we’re willing to put into it.
Numerous problems that fall within the entire range of living and living can be safely and confidentially addressed through individual therapy. Please refer to the Home Page and FAQ for more complete descriptions of what therapy can help you with, and how.
